A couple of years ago, I sent out my first large batch email. It was to around 200 people who I was expecting a reply from. I was really surprised when I found out that quite a few emails didn’t reach the recipients.

The problem was that I was sending them from my regular email account and sending to 200+ people in the BCC field triggered a spam alert in a number of the recipients mail boxes.

The best way to ensure your emails are getting to delivered is to use a recognised email distribution company. Aweber is a very popular option.

Once you’ve started using an email distribution company, it is also a good idea to create 4 test email address with Gmail, AOL, Hotmail and Yahoo. Add these test email address to your mailing list. When you send an email, check to see if it has arrived at your 4 test accounts. If it has, you can be sure that most of the people on your list are receiving your mails.
